Fergus McMaster – 25 Years Continuous Service
Fergus McMaster – 25 Years Continuous Service
On the 13th July 2017 our Roma Manager, Fergus McMaster celebrates 25 years of continuous service to Murray & Associates Surveyors & Town Planners, overall he has worked for the company for 33 years. The Directors congratulate Fergus on this achievement and thank him for his service to guiding and mentoring the next generation of surveyors in our company.
Fergus began as Manager of our
Gympie Office and then in 2004 relocated to our Roma office and continues to
oversee this region and manage our mobile workforce. Fergus’s wife Diane
assists him in the Roma office for administration and at times has been a
welcomed field assistant – they are a great regional team for our company.
Prior to 1992, Fergus actually first started his surveying career as a Trainee
Surveyor with Murray & Associates (formerly JFH Murray & Associates) in
1976 and stayed with us for 8 years. Between 1984 and 1992 he continued to gain
valuable field experience within Queensland in Seismic Exploration and also
overseas in New Guinea before returning to Murray & Associates.
Fergus is a very proud Queenslander and if you are ever travelling with Qantas
on a A380 look out for the one called Fergus McMaster. This plane is named
after his Grandfather Sir Fergus McMaster who was a co-founder and the first
Chairman of Qantas. Anyone who visits our Roma office will see the proud
display that Fergus has accumulated and he is always happy for a cuppa and a
chat.
